(1) Type the vowel to receive the mark (a e h i o u w).

(2) Type the appropriate accent, breathing, or dieresis mark. Use the pre-set combinations rather than combining the marks yourself. For example, use Shift + 1 to place the smooth breathing and acute accent marks rather than typing Shift + ] for smooth breathing then typing "/" for  acute accent.

(3) To erase a vowel with a mark on it, you will need to delete twice. The marks are themselves characters which are displayed and printed over the character in front of them.

(4) Here are the keys to type for the marks:
